Eduroam Wireless Network Connection Guide

You can use the eduroam network for secure and fast internet access within the Istanbul Gelisim University campus. Please follow the steps below to connect your device.

1. Access Network Settings

Go to the following menu on your mobile device or computer:

Settings > Wi-Fi (or Wireless Connections)

2. Select Network

Find and select eduroam from the list of available wireless networks.

3. Authentication Settings

Fill in the connection form with the information below.

(On Android devices, you may need to tap "Advanced Options" to see all settings.)

EAP Method PEAP
Phase 2 Authentication MSCHAPV2
CA Certificate Do not validate / Use system certificates
Identity [youremail]@gelisim.edu.tr
Anonymous Identity (Leave this field BLANK)
Password Enter your corporate computer login password.
Important Warning: The "Anonymous Identity" field must be left completely blank. Entering any data here will cause a connection error.
4. Complete Connection

After entering the information, tap the Connect button. Once your device receives an IP address, you can access the internet.

❓ Troubleshooting

If you are unable to connect:

  • 1. Forget Network: Go to Wi-Fi settings, tap on “eduroam”, select Forget Network, and try entering the settings again as shown above.
  • 2. Check Password: Ensure your corporate password is up to date and correctly entered.
  • 3. Check DNS: If you have a manual DNS address defined on your device, switch it to “Automatic.”
