Windows 11 is no longer supported on these Intel processors!

Microsoft has updated the official processor support list for Windows 11 version 24H2. While this update brings positive news for AMD users, it also reveals a surprising decision for Intel users. Microsoft has removed support for certain Intel processors that meet Windows 11's system requirements.

Microsoft has dropped support for some Intel processors in Windows 11 24H2.

According to Microsoft’s announcement, 10th-generation Intel Ice Lake U and Y series mobile processors, as well as Comet Lake desktop and mobile processors, are no longer officially supported for Windows 11 version 24H2. Older 8th and 9th-generation Coffee Lake processors have also been removed from the list.
Microsoft’s decision has raised concerns among users with these processors, as they still met the basic requirements for Windows 11. However, they are now unsupported for the new version. Notably, popular Core i3, i5, and i7 models are among those removed from the list.
Of course, Microsoft’s decision isn’t all negative. Along with this update, the company has added support for new Intel Core UL and HL Raptor Lake (Series 1) mobile processors and the Core 3 100U model with an IPU. Additionally, the Intel Atom series has also gained support for Windows 11 24H2.
On the AMD side, some expected processors have been added to the list as well. The reasons behind Microsoft’s unexpected move are still unclear, but it is believed that the AI features in the 24H2 version are not supported by these processors.
